Rohit Sharma ‘Not Happy’ With Hardik Pandya’s Captaincy, To Leave Mumbai Indians After IPL 2024 – Reports

Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma is not happy with Hardik Pandya’s captaincy in the IPL and could leave the Mumbai Indians at the end of the ongoing 2024 season of the cash-rich league. The 36-year-old Rohit, who has been associated with the Mumbai Indians since 2011 after joining them for Rs 9.2 crore back then, is the leading run scorer and most-capped player for the franchise in the IPL.

In 201 matches played so far, he has scored 5110 runs. He won five IPL titles as Mumbai Indians captain, but despite that, he was removed from the leadership role last year ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. He was replaced by Hardik Pandya, but now, according to a report in News24, Rohit is not happy with Hardik’s captaincy.

As per News24, one MI player has informed that Rohit is unhappy with Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, which has caused a rift in the dressing room as well. The results not going in favour of MI make it even worse, as criticism has surrounded the team, which is rock bottom in the league table.

According to the source, many decisions are being argued between the two players, which is not allowing a good team atmosphere in the dressing room.

The tension in Mumbai Indians camp was evident during the team’s first match of the IPL 2024, which was played against the Gujarat Titans on March 24. In that match, which was staged at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on many occasions, Hardik and Rohit were seen in animated conversation.
